International Delta flight: do I need to check in at the airport?

For many international flights you can start online, but there may be extra steps:

• Passport and visa details may need to be added during check-in.
• Some routes require an airport document check before you get a final boarding pass.
• Arrive earlier than for domestic flights, because lines and checks take longer.

Check your confirmation email for instructions specific to your route. Here is a guide on Delta Airlines check-in with more detail.
